BONANZAS
Even, Turks came here with numerous armies repeatedly and tended to bolt in impregnable fortresses Khotin and Kamianets-Podil's'kyi. Who was pray God for on this long-suffering land? What power keeps this oldest land of rus-ukrainians? What historical traces have stay on this land? Can be a key to this puzzle in the mysterious Bushanski relief? Deep, covered by the shrubbery and old trees, ravines
are stretching along the north coast of Dnister from Carpathian mountains up to Tiraspol.
Multiple rivers and brooks, cutting sandstones, do narrow, suitable canyons, in which was
able to hide and live for years, to excavate an ancient bonanzas, hidden before; and as if
it required, quickly to get to any city on Kumachansky road. A lot of mysteries were
hidden here! Exactly here, Slavs oversat the Cimmerians, Scythians, Sarmats, Goths and
Huns. In small village Bush, that near the picturesque stream Murafa, anybody can see the
bell tower which was remade from a tower of old-time castle,
ruined as a result of assault of polish troops at 1654 years. Ìàrianna, widow of
Cossack's officer Zavisny, has blasted herself and powder cellar, when enemies had rushed
over the battlements. Why widow has done this and what a secret she has carried
away with herself the brave women - is unknown, but these places were considered honour
and keep some ancient Slavonic relic. Near by village - a mysterious cave, formed by
rock-monolith and enormous stones. On cliff is an old inscription on polish language "Memory 1524y." and "This cave has opened up by
Romuald Ostoya Ovsiany. 1824" And on the opposite rock, was cut enigmatic, so-called,
"Bush's relief", which we reproduce below. Who, when and for what had cut on the stone this composition - is unknown. You can answer that it is fun of recent time. This version, dear readers, we can immediately to reject, since the relief are mentioned in the old-time polish history disquisitions and size of description has the following parameters: length - 3 meters and height 1,7 meter. And now imagine - how long did it take for ancient author to imprint so strange figures. Why in such deserted place? Version, that scene was created by monks - falls off, because sense of monkshood is in a rescuing soul and in the obedience to monastic Charter. Monks could cut icon, rather than person stood on knees, and who has done that in such abandoned place? This secrets we will try to uncover that summer. We are intending to move along Dnister river to north. There are a lot of historical places: enigmatic caves, and wall's inscriptions here. While of soviet period the historians more eagered to Scythian burial mounds, to Greek cities-colonies, where possible to recreate and excavate anything interesting. With coming independence, the Ukrainian institute of archeology has possibility to fit out only five-six expeditions a year. So, it is postponed to unriddle the secrets of this district. Above of Dnister river we can explore the ancient caves on vertical rocks, lengthening to hundred meters inward to mountain near Nagoriany village. There are a lot of remainders of old-time fortification and multiple underground's passages at Bronnitsa village, known since 1388 year. Nobody ever explored it. And what about Khotin and Kamianets-Podil's'kyi? Do you know, that bridge, depicted on Troyan's pillar in Rome is located in Kamianets on Dnister river? And we prove this, if you will joining us.
